RV Trip Wizard different uses with Android Auto

I am planning a long trip from Rhode Island to Montana for some trout fishing. I have planned my complete trip on RV Trip Wizard with all stops listed. I can use the trip GPS on my phone as I drive but would like to connect to my Android Auto so I can use the GPS screen in my truck. When researching this approach, I have found that the process is confusing and that when you do upload RVTW to Google Maps you lose the routing developed in RVTW. So, with all this what do most of you do in this situation? 1. Just use RVTW app on your phone, 2. Replan the total trip in Google Maps exactly like your plan is in RVTW, 3. Identify an easy way to upload RVTW trip plan to Android Auto? I spent a lot of time developing my plan in RVTW and would like to drive the route I have chosen. It sure would be nice to use this plan on my truck large screen GPS. Please let me know what different people have done along these lines. Thanks in advance for your input.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

What truck do you have?

I plan trips with RVTW but I put my stops into Waze which I prefer to Google maps and follow the Waze routing.

If you want to follow the exact route from RVTW and you have Apple Car Play you can use your truck display with the RV Life app from an Apple phone.

I plan my entire overall trips (at least all the ones longer than a day or two) in RVTW and generally just put in the day's route in Google Maps/Android Auto directly. If Google wants to take a different route and I want to stick to the RVTW route I will drop a waypoint in to force Google to go where I want.

Android Auto is coming to the RV LIFE App this season. The RV LIFE app (after you login) syncs your planned Trip Wizard routes and you can use the app for live turn-by-turn nav. The RV LIFE app is included in your Trip Wizard Subscription - you've already paid for it. Download it and login with the same login creds you use for Trip Wizard.
