Route to Factory

Can someone advise me on the best way to go around Cincinatti. I assume it is 275 East or West, but we are not sure which involves less traffic.

Thanks,

Rick

Depends on time of day and day of week...

Rush hour is obviously not the time to run straight up I75...

But Sunday morning, you may not take the cruise control off...

The 275 adds about 20miles to the trip.

So... At 60mph that adds 20mins.
Are you going to be fighting traffic for 20mins going through town?

I use the Waze app on my phone. It has real time traffic speed information and will route/reroute you in real time as you travel.

It takes the guesswork out of it.

I agree with Sirtate. I used to live in Cincinnati and unless it's rush hour you can stay on I-75. Use Waze and listen to local traffic reports, but for the most part, it's not bad. Try to stay in the middle lane to avoid people getting on and off the Interstate. I think there is still construction going through Dayton or just north of it.

If you've some time to look around, the town of Sidney, just below Jackson Center is an interesting place. Stop in the courthouse and see if they'll let you see it. It's been renovated and looks very nice. There is a bank building there with some interesting features as well. The Spot restaurant is "the place" to go, according to the locals. Lots of small town flavor.

Thanks to all for the great help!
To richw46, are you suggesting an alternate route around Dayton?

Rick

Another way: head up I69 and pick up I70 in Indy to I75 in Dayton. That totally avoids Cincy, but Cincy is a pretty city.

We came down from the factory via West Virginia and skipped Cinci all together.

No, just beware that there is or was construction, possibly a slowdown. We have taken our AS through there at the height of a rebuild of I-75 without any problems.
