Recommending an iPhone App

Hello all.

Not sure I am in the right place...but as an single woman traveling via Airstream, I would like to recommend an application that I have found to be very helpful to me. It is called "RV Dumps." I don't used it to find dumps, but it is a helpful application for me to find campsites at the end of the day. Generally, I wait until I am two-hour out from stopping for the day and then I seek out my campground. The application probably can be used on any smartphone, but I downloaded it to my iPhone prior to beginning my journey to Alaska last year. It has been handy on all my solo trips and I highly recommend it, if you don't like looking through Woodalls. I like it because it has filters and you can seek out KOA campgrounds vs. private campgrounds vs. state/government campgrounds. It also seeks out Flying J locations and any site that have a sewer dump. I love it. Again, it's called....RV Dumps. Download the app and enjoy.

yes - that's a great one.

A different type of app that can be enjoyed at home or while camping is the ISS Spotter app. It shows you when, where, direction and elevation whenever the International Space station is coming. For example, I will get a viewing tonight at 9:51 beginning in the SW and reaching a 70-degree maximum elevation before it disappears NE. If you've never seen a satellite, this one is pretty spectacular due to its size.

ALLSTAYS makes some nice apps, that's a fact. We really USE their Camp & RV app. in a similar manner. It seems to have so many nice features, including the ability to filter for just the data you need. One time we needed a propane refill, so filtered out all out other inputs and went right to the store. I usually filter for "Campsites" and get a set of good choices for both trip planning and "the-next-camp" on the road. Highly recommended.

Are you central time?
We're heading out to look.
City lights might put a damper on this.
