Recommendations 4 Millerton Lake & Danville area

Heading up to Danville (Bay Area) for the Holiday.

Thought we'd stop at Millerton Lake for 2 nights on the way. Not sure if, this time of year, 2 nights is too much.

In the Danville area, we're looking at Mt Diablo campground, or Anthony Chabot. Both look nice. Might have to arrive at those at night in the dark, so not sure if that's a good idea for either one of them.

Then, on way home, trying to figure out a place to spend one night. Avila, Pismo, SLO areas are possibilities.

Love to have your ideas or recommendations for spots/rv parks. Thanks, and Happy Turkey Day (or, Tofurkey Day for you veggies).

Highly recommend Wine Country RV Park in Paso Robles and Pismo Coast Village RV Park in Pismo Beach. Haven't stayed at Port San Luis Harbor District CG in Avila Beach, but our friends say it's great. If you drive another hour +/- you can always stay at Flying Flags in Solvang. After that, it's the wonderful beach campgrounds near Santa Barbara.

Never made it to Millerton Lake. In fact, we didn't really make it anywhere we'd planned for intermediary stops!! Everything takes a lot longer to do when you're having fun!

We stayed one night in Bakersfield, one night in a KOA in Visalia. Then a night outside bro-in-law's house. Then a night at Anthony Chabot campground. On way home, stopped one night in Pismo Beach.

Will post pics and names of campgrounds in next day or two.
