Rambling post. Trailer sat for a year.
We are finally on the road again. Our last trip was to Key West in February of last year. Due to health and family issues we did not get our summer trip accomplished. I blew out the lines last February and did virtually zero maintenance items since then. Our Globetrotter does sit at the farm, and is used for a third bedroom on occasions. But it’s really just to sleep in. I don’t put water in the tanks. The furnace and AC do get used.
So, a few weeks ago I hooked up and pulled it down to St Louis to get ready for this trip. The relatively new GY Endurance tires were all still at 60 psi. Surprisingly. No leaks in the plumbing, and we were below zero several times this winter. The furnace works like a charm. Everything! I did knock on the mixing valve for the water heater, but it’s working great now. Everything is the right temp in the fridge. Lights and cameras all working.
First time pulling with the new truck, pulls like a dream.
I just read a lot of negative posts about quality and design. Here’s a positive one. We love this little trailer. (2020 25’ Globetrotter twin)
Last year was frustrating. Seeing it sitting in the carport at the farm, not taking it anywhere.
Just so happy to be out. FYI, we are in a HipCamp spot near Santa Fe NM for 3 nights, then another 3 nights at a HipCamp spot down near Sedona, then 6 nights in Zion NP at Watchman CG. We will definitely be going through the propane as nights are right around freezing. But we’ve never visited any of these three places and are excited to experience them.
Pic is out the front door this morning. And yesterday morning at a HH alpaca ranch near Oklahoma City. (Yep, two 500 mile days to get here )

Update. Neither fan is working in the bathroom. Shower or sink sides. I think the shower fan had died in Key West. The toilet side is a casualty of sitting for a year. I guess both will need replaced.

Glad to hear your getting out and about and enjoying life again. Stream On!
I have replaced a fan before. Not too tough. A few tools and some Sikaflex caulking.

Thanks. Its good to be out.. I remember reading some posts about replacements. Couldn’t remember if it’s done easier from above or below.
Another view of our present site. Had lunch yesterday at The Shed in Santa Fe. Delicious! That’s a burrito.

On our 2019 FC RBT, the bathroom fan can be replaced from inside. The shower fan has to be replaced from the outside. We have replaced both (one was DOA; the other because we broke the handle), but did not do it ourselves.

It’s Awesome Acres Pacas. Nice folks. Not the most scenic HH we’ve visited, but alright. Not far off the beaten path in Oklahoma City. Flat spot. I did have to back out on to the roadway to exit. But I’m ok with backing up.

Thanks. Looks like we get to see a bit more Santa Fe. Even though though it’s cold and windy here, with a bit of snow on the ground. It’s worse in northern Arizona. I-40 is closed. Won’t be heading to Sedona today. Luckily the furnace is running great.

I’ll check fuses, but one quit last year and the other one this year. Everything else running fine. I’ll take a look.
Thx

Glad to hear you are back traveling. I definitely understand as we have not been traveling anywhere near what we used to. Now most of our trips are within 100 miles of home.

Winds in New Mexico are blowing a bit. We're between Carlsbad and Artesia and have 40 mph gusting to 70. We get a bit of shaking once in a while, but nothing like we had with our previous trailer. If you are heading west you can watch the fuel gauge go down. If you are going east you can hoist a sail and not use any fuel. <grin>

So true! We drove into a headwind all the way out, but nothing like this. But the sun just came out, so the portable solar panel is out as well. Our furnace fan is eating power. Thankful for lithium. Well, I guess I would have brought a generator if we were still using the lead acid.
Who’s up for a bike ride? 30 degrees with 40 mph winds. No thanks.

Made it over to Sedona area yesterday. Nice drive. We waited out the snow and closures on I-40 and took some two lane roads that ran north of 40. Came into Flagstaff from the north. Staying in a HipCamp spot down south of Sedona. Had snow our final morning near Santa Fe.
Things are still working fine on the trailer. I found that letting the Weber grill sit for a year must have messed up the propane regulator. Couldn’t get any propane through to the burner..

This is turning a little bit into a trip report on our early spring trip. So, here’s an update. We enjoyed Sedona quite a bit. But found it very crowded. Lots of traffic if you try to go through in the middle of the day.
We visited Red Rocks SP for a hike. And also hiked Boynton Canyon trail up to Subway Cave. We took off this morning and went thru Sedona again and took 89 up to Flagstaff instead of the interstate. What a beautiful drive! Highly recommend if you’re ok with switchbacks and steep roads. We were going up, which I find easier. Going down I think I would have liked one of those diesel engine brakes.
We went from Flagstaff up to Zion NP in some of the craziest wind I’ve ever driven in. Our drive into Zion was spectacular. I’ve never been here before. Came in from the east side which brought us down through more switchbacks and one very long descending tunnel. Our site in Watchman CG is ok. It’s our first night with electric, so we’re saving propane. Ha!
Pics include the hikes, Chapel of the Holy Cross, the roads, and the AS.
