Raleigh, NC to Miami, FL

Making a trip from Raleigh, NC to Miami, Fl for a cruise during the the Xmas holidays. We would love to bring the RV and make one stop en route to Miami. We would also love to spend NYE in the RV on the beach. Any suggestions on a half-way point as well as where to stay in Miami? TIA.

Two of our favorite campgrounds are Tomoka State Park in Ormond Beach and Long Pine Key Campground in the Everglades NP close to Homestead.

It will be hard to get beach front reservations for NYE at this point but look at Gamble Rogers State Park or Beverly Beach Campground (private) on the Atlantic between St Augustine and Daytona. The state parks in the Keys are also great but are all already fully booked.
