Nice selection of post cards.

And yes I love sending (and receiving) post cards. And I also love finding the PO in small towns when traveling.

Thanks for sharing!

I send them to my grands several times each trip, and I also love small post offices.

The National Park Service has several vintage style postcards that feature Airstreams.

Thank you, AWCHIEF, I will keep my eye out for those. I have not found many items with airstream's on em, the closest I got was this magnet from Silverton with a trailer that could be a Bambi but could also be somethin else. I liked it though.

Course, looks it's drivin on a pretty dusty road right now, that may need a Swiffer!

That's what I'm talkin about I thought it was only me. I love lil places like that. Funny thing, one of my favorite parts of Mesa Verde NP was their lil post office next to the museum it was great.

Custom postcards from photos

A few years ago while on an extended road trip (3 months, 16K miles) we had a lot of fun with this. We brought a laptop and a small portable HP photo printer. I made a template with MS Word for the back of the card that looked just like a commercial card but had our return address (in vertical type separating the message side from the TO: address side). So we'd take pics, load them to the laptop and print selected ones to 4 X 6 photo paper. Then we'd use the Word template to enter our message and the TO: address and print on the back side of the photo. Pretty slick, if I do say so. One major benefit was that my message was readable vs having the recipient try to decipher my world class terrible handwriting.

Cheating a little here, but I have had this card for about 25 years since owning a 25' AS in the 90's.

The more things change the more they stay the same!

TravlinMan, as you head east, how about posting some post cards here? Plenty of happy recipients here as well as the GC, friends and family back east.

Happy Trails.

Peter

Wayneskid that is a great idea. I don't travel with my computer anymore cause I found my phone does mostly all of it, I wonder if there's a way to print from a phone I've seen little usb postcard printers. But I also enjoy shoppin for em too.

Peter, great postcard and I'll happily post more postcards as I find em. Glad y'all enjoy em.

Plenty of wireless printers IMO. Click on a photo in your phone, and then the Send arrow, and Print will be one of the options.

Here is a wireless printer thread, but it is almost a year old:

Post #17 has the details, including Bluetooth only no WIFI connectivity. There may be better options at this time.

Traveln Man those are some great cards that you are finding.

Just yesterday my brother was telling me about a new app he downloaded to his phone that lets him send pics and text that is made up as a post card then sent to provided address.

I can get details if there is interest.

Cheers Richard
