Portable Outdoor LED Flood Light?
Howdy!
I feel like I have most of the essentials but want a light for evenings night times .
I found discussions about hard wired flush mount but can't find a good 110v or rechargeable lantern or flood light.
Looking at some rope lighting but think I want a bit more concentrated too.
I saw some 250 lumens 110 LED work lights on Amazon but consensus is they don't last; fragile glass.....
Is there a go-to one I'm missing?
How do you light up your porch?
Thanks,
Warren

I am not a fan of lighting up camp with bright lights myself, this is what I just found and am using it with a small lipstick size usb battery.

I've found one of these to be much more useable...around a dark campsite. 👍

I need a good light as I will be at a month long gem show in Quartzsite. Not camping pr se but living and working in a dirt parking lot.
There will be plenty of times and reasons I need to light up a bit more than my head lamp or flashlight or small lantern will provide.
There won't be any issues with light pollution.....
Thanks,
W

I agree with AlinCal about lighting up campsites--I find it obnoxious--but I understand that things are different at the Quartzsite gem show.
For what it's worth, I've found that Nebo's Tango rechargeable work light provides a broad, even, very bright light when used in its flood mode. (It can also be used as a spotlight.) Brightness is adjustable, and the light remembers the brightness setting. It charges via a USB cable. Oh, and it can also be used as a powerpack to charge your phone.
There are quite a few similar-looking work lights on the market, but this one has worked well for me. Nebo is a fairly well-known brand in portable lighting. I've been using their pocket-sized Larry Lights for years; in fact, I always have one in my shirt pocket. So I don't think you can go far wrong with the Tango.

It's not a flood light, but look at the Hybridlight puc. It's a flashlight and lantern and charges you phone. And charges itself. That's if I remember to put the panel up.

I gave up on the solar path lights.
I now have three of these, 200 lumens, plug in (that may be a deal breaker for boondocking) and they look great.
LED, plastic case, so far so good. They're 5 watts so even though I have several aimed at the house, I still only have about 40 watts.
Keep in mind that any light illuminating your "door" is also shining in your eyes as you exit.
I also bought three much cheaper versions from Lowe's, 550 lumens. $7 or two for $10. So far they are still working.

I just bought a very good LED floodlight through Amazon. It is powered by 3 D batteries and only comes on at night with detected motion. I secured base to vent over stove; it slides off easily for storage.

I re-purposed my TV antenna with an LED light bar. Can raise it and rotate to any position. Works great. Use a small indoor amplified antenna for TV.

Thinking outside the box.
Have you considered a propane or gas lantern? Back in the 60's, Coleman white gas lanterns were the go to light for camping and are still applicable today.

I use the Ryobi 18v tools from Home Depot. So I have lots of batteries for the system. I have this flood light. It can run on 110v too.

Led floodlight
Some Walmarts have fairly bright ones that I use at my home. They're over 100 lumens for $18.

Greg[/QUOTE]Yes they are brite also very dangerous. I had one start to drip gas on me and cot in army, then it exploded. [gas is pressurized]. Luckily I escaped but my sleeping bag and command tent burned up, this was in zero degree weather. I will never have one again. AS I stated no injuries but scared H**L out me. this happended before, person did not survive. Also mantels very fragile.

They run a long time and put out good light. I have the other Ryobi yard tools, so I already have batteries on hand. After having purchased about a dozen Ryobi tools, I've yet to have any fail.

I carry one of those cheap clamp lights with the removable reflector form the local hardware store and use a led light bulb. If the awning is out I can clamp it on the end or move it anywhere an extension cord will reach. We even use a remote controlled outlet sometimes which is nice when you hear something go bump in the night and you want to take a quick look. I think i have $10 dollars in the setup.

Rounder44,
You did not clarify how much light you are seeking or if it needs to be directional which may negate my suggestion of a COB LED based-source. Here is a link to a very useful lantern with three settings, from very bright to subdued which can last a full evening on a single charge. It will also recharge your tech devices via a USB port. Hang it from the awning, set beside you, or tote it wherever you want to go. There are also similar units in smaller sizes or with less illumination to match your desire.

I like small, so I'd recommend one of these:
http://a.co/d/8vHa9GI
... which are super cheap.... Or one of these...
https://www.festoolusa.com/products/...3---kal-ii-usa
... which are not! (But seriously, the Festool light is so choice, that if you have the means, you really should pick one up. Great work light for small spaces. Fits under the sink with you while you work, hangs from the hood of your car. Size of your two fists put together.
I also have one of these, which to me is too big to bring in the trailer, but it works great:
