We feel your pain in Georgia. I just wiped a layer of yellow off my laptop screen! We are on our deck enjoying the nice (but yellow) weather.
My husband, who didn't know what I was writing about, just complained about his yellow screen too!

Pollen plays havoc with my sinuses, gets all over and into everything but our bees love the stuff...

We were discussing today that some of the early bloomers are later bloomers this year, and that the color mixtures are really unique.

Also means more pollen than usual. We have a bumper pollen crop here in Georgia this year. Fortunately, it does wash off.

Every one in my family (except my youngest) has terrific pollen allergies. My wife is in bed with a sinus infection triggered by her allergy to pollen. We were unable to go to church this morning for Easter services. She is going to the doctor tomorrow and hopefully will be over it by the end of the week or we might not make it to the Springstream. Hope we are able to make it...been looking forward to this rally all winter!

We keep the hose hooked up to rinse the trucks and cars off before we head off down the lane. I think it peaked this week, so hopefully it will get lighter from here on out. BTW in the Sandhills of NC.

Here in FL we have had it for a couple of weeks, seriously thinking of getting an electrostatic filter to add on to the a/c and just run the fan to filter the air. DW has had stuffed head each night, so far only causing an occasional sneeze for me.

Anything above 120 PPM is extremely high pollen count...Atlanta's pollen count this morning is 1633 PPM.

It totally seems a waste to not be able to open the windows to get the fresh air in by using fantastic fans in the Airstream or attic fan in the house; but instead am running the AC with Hepa filters and 3 air filtration systems to keep up with the pollen in the house. The trailer will stay shut up for another week or two to avoid getting the stuff inside.........
Havent run the heat pumps here in the house all winter as we burn wood so it is galling to have to run the AC and pay the electric bill; but that is the way it is......When I go outside my eyes immediately begin burning and sinuses kick in........The air cleaners WORK, 2 sharper image and a new Rabbit heavy duty that does a great job. Am trying heavy duty HEPAs in the ACs and all seems to be just fine.........Later will move one of the sharper images down to the trailer for a few days to refresh the ozone..........

Anyway, the daffodils lasted forever and were prolific this year, the dogwoods are totally late and sparse, (over 500 of them on my 27 acres), peaches are beautiful as well as the plums, and tulips are just kicking in big time...........Yes, the pollen just is a total pain and has just begun........BUT.......this too shall pass.........

How's your garden????............3 types of lettuce, spinach, carrots, raddish, squash, cucumbers, and beans are in the ground....Tomatos in a few days with corn a couple of weeks later......mmmmmmmm chef salad by the end of May............God is good......Dennis

pollen

Here in Charleston, SC we call it yellow snow! Forget being able to use the screened porch - all cushions are inside to try to keep them clean - guess I should buy yellow ones! It is covering everything - esp our dark blue car. Taking the Streamer out this weekend so hope it is about finished. Zertec works for me - I start with it the minute I see the 1st sign of pollen and take it religiously everyday.
