Question place to spend winter

Has anybody stayed at Parkview Riverside RV park in Concan Tx. or Windsor Place RV Estates in Athens, Texas? Looking for a place to go for the winter and get me out of Alaska until March or so. Needs to be close to a large town as I have to get a IV for my cancer every week. Thanks in Advance.

Winter

Hi
Look at BLM land at Quartzsite &Yuma AZ.Cost about $180 for about 8 winter months. This is boondocking with lots of snow bird. Yuma has lot of full service RV parks in all price ranges.Cheep to upscale.

It's too bad you can't be in Florida, the RV park we are in is about 20 minutes from Moffet Cancer center.

Scott and White Hospital in Temple and Providence Hospital in Waco are both outstanding Regional hospitals that would be able to meet your requirements and much more. Both Austin and San Antonio also have outstanding Regional hospitals as well. I think Athens would be a good choice as a community and as an area of Texas, but I have no idea how close to quality health care Athens might be. Personally, I'd probably elect to stay somewhere in the Texas Hill Country because of the beautiful sceney, birding, fishing, hunting, social opportunities, drier climate, etc. The temperatures aren't all that bad. We won't usually have a week a year of much below freezing weather. Anything more is usually considered abnormal. The four cities I listed above fairly well frame what is known as the Texas Hill Country. There would be many, many RV parks in a variety of ranges and services within this area ranging from outstanding Corps of Engineer facilities to State Parks to more budget friendly private parks and true RV Resort type properties. The choice would be yours.
