I see you're interested in golf. Lots of good golf on PEI, but if you have time head over to Cape Breton and play Cabot Links in Inverness NS, on the Cabot Trail. Cabot Links opened last year to rave reviews. Further up the road is the historic Highland Links in Ingonish NS. Highland Links is always in Canada's top 10 courses.

Hey, if you were on the Monterey Peninsula, you would drop in and play Pebble Beach for $500 + $75 (caddie) wouldn't you?
Maybe not! LOL.

Hello All. When we were in PEI years back we stayed at a campground called Marco Polo. It was a nice place and in a town called Cavendish. It was also close to the estate where the book Anne of Green Gables is about.
Happy camping nm1oqrz

LI Pets,
I noticed that no one has given you a recommendation for a park in PEI yet. Bayside RV Campground in Oyster Bed Bridge (902) 621-0144 comes highly recommended. It is owned by two Airstreamers and they treat the rest of us right.

Summer of 2011 we stayed at the Provincial Pk right there at Cavindish. Very nice campgrounds. Walk to the beach and easy access to all PEI has to offer. Would strongly recommend it and would surely go back again.

We enjoyed Bayside too. The only issue is that there is a racetrack just up the hill and even one car making practice rounds makes a lot of noise. But if you're a racecar guy, it will be great.
Beautiful country. Pat.

Thru this thread some old friends contacted us and were meeting them for a few days at Jacque Cartier Provincial Park on the west side of the Island.
They know the Island well so I'm sure it nice.

Bob,
You've got Island center covered with Bayside CG and Island west with Jacque Cartier Prov Park. If you wanted to camp on the east side I would recommend Red Point Prov Park near the village of Souris. We are going there also the week after Jacque Cartier if your still around. August gets busier on the Island and sites get scarcer in Provincial Parks so would recommend reservations, especially on weekends.
