Parris Island RV Park

Yes folks, there is a Parris Island RV park. Located on the USMC Parris Island training base there is a 20 site RV park.
This is open to all military or DOD people. We have a spot here courtesy of my son in law. He is stationed near by at the USCM air station.
If you can qualify to get a site, this is a very nice RV park. For $15.00 per day you get a 60'x120' RV spot, this is the largest RV site I have ever had. There is water, electricity and sewage at all sites. There is also a concrete slab with picnic table and a seperate slab to park your car. The bath house is extra nice and clean. It also has washers and dryers installed.
There is not much of a veiw from the RV park but 1/2 mile down the road is a water side park with bath house and jungle gym for the kids. You do get to hear the new Marines marching about and also at the firing range. (you can hear the gun fire but it's not very loud)
Sorry, no cable TV, internet connection or RV park store. If you are not military you have to go off base to do your shopping.
We've stayed at several military/DOD RV parks before. This one is very nice but a bit spartan.
We will be here until after Christmas.
