We are new to Airstreams and are so glad to have found Airforums. A dream realized this summer when we found "The Pinecone Express", a 2014 Sport 22FB on the side of the road for sale when traveling in northern MI.
We set out on our first extended journey (2.5 weeks) on Sunday. Our daughter has a competition in Lexington, KY. So, it was a perfect excuse to get out there and drive. Leaving from East Texas, we drove to Natchez, MS and spend the night at the Natchez Trace State Park campground. Then drove the entire 444 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway with one over night stop. We're now overnighting in Nashville (Safe Harbor RV Resort) on our way to Lexington tomorrow via the Bluegrass Parkway. After we finish in Lexington, will heading down the Blueridge Parkway, then home. So far, so good. She is everything I thought she would be!
Our tow vehicle is a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit diesel. So far, we're getting almost 18 mpg over 600 miles. Very cool!
