On the Road to Gunnison

It's my first travel day from Fort Worth to the VAC rally in Gunnison, and I stopped off for the night at a WBCCI courtesy parking spot in Quanah, TX.

Shore power is most welcome, it's just now gotten down to 90F! Tomorrow is the long day, here to La Veta, CO to meet up with friends on the way.

We arrived in Gunnison last week. It is my wife's home town and we are parked one block from the fairgrounds under a big willow tree with shore power. We took a round about way getting here from Lincoln City OR. We left on Feb 28th. Headed south on 101 to California, Hwy 1 though the redwoods and Big Sur. Then to San Diego. South to Mulege, Baja Mexico. Spent three months in Mexico then headed this way thru AZ and NM.

We spotted two Airstreams in town yesterday. We are looking forward to the rally but will miss the Willow tree and electricity. See you Thursday.
