oh no - its a Huge dent! ( it's a mirage! )

while trailering a very shiny 67 about 1500 miles round trip in two days I had several bad experiances that turned out only to be mirages. The first happened at dusk at a rest stop, when I came out of the bathroom and walked up to the trailer from about 75 feet away I saw a huge dent in the side that fourtunatly went away when I got right up on it. Later that evening I pulled into a walmart after dark and when I came out of the store there appeared to be a HUGE dent in the rounded front corner, I had to touch it to tell it wasn't there. Both times my heart stopped.

Am I just delusional or has this happened to anyone else?

No. Are you still talking to the little people who live up in the corners of your trailer?

Richardt, I wish you'd post some pictures of your Excella 24'. I'd love to see how the Airstream 24s are laid out.

Okay, you seem to have a "yes", a "no", and a "maybe".
Let us know the next time you need advice, we will be happy to answer the call.

If it makes you feel better - I did the same thing coming out of a Wal-Mart parking lot and looking at my AS under those lights. Seems to only happen at night. Strange shadows.

It's an undocumented feature...

of every Airstream. Sheetmetal just pops in and out at will; but only at night and only in Wal-Mart parking lots where you can't tell it's really doing it!
