Northeast Summer Trip Recommendations

Hi All!

Being from the NW, I am a little intimidated to be heading the Northern East Coast area next summer, so thought I’d ask for some help here. We plan to leave AZ in April and spend a month in Oregon visiting family, then head east, returning to AZ by early October. We are open to getting the monthly discount in some places if the area is nice and close to some of the many natural and historical attractions. Other than that, we are looking for well kept up parks, what to see in the area, that sort of thing. Oh, and recommended routes from OR to NE US.
