North to Alaska

After several years of dreaming, and nearly a year of planning, we are headed on a two month trip to Alaska tomorrow. I will endeavor to post thoughts and pictures daily. Maybe interesting, maybe not, but here is the link:

Right behind you!

We'll be leaving for the Yukon and Alaska in a couple of weeks. Haven't planned nearly as extensively as you have but have taken care of the basics and the rest we'll deal with as we go. Also doing the Dempster Highway in the Yukon to Inuvik (500 miles of gravel road) beyond the arctic circle. Safe travels and look forward to reading about your trip. Gary

We did the Alaska trip last summer. We spent almost 4 months on the road from Columbus, OH and back. We have a blog of our trip at http:\\mytripjournal.com\alaska2007

It was a great trip and you should have a great time.

I hope you guys are having fun on your trip towards Alaska. I hear the salmon are making one of their first runs through our town. I hope you have big poles to catch some dinner. Make sure you stop by The Moose Is Loose and grab some donuts and coffee.

I have been to Alaska twice and my wife has been three times, but on cruise ships. We are EXTREMELY jealous and cannot wait for a time when we can take our AS on an extended road trip to Alaksa.

Take and post lots of pictures as well as travel tips and know that there are MANY of us out here who are with you in spirit!!!

I love your road trip website. Keep those pictures coming! The "Where We Are" and DIE$EL sections are interesting/helpful, also.
