We took the ferry to PEI (free with the AS) in Late July 2015 around noontime, no problem. They may have changed the rule since then. Worth a try.

My mother's family was from PEI, so we've been going for many years. The KOA in Cornwall/Charlottetown is another beautiful campground. And we're not big fans of KOAs unless we're doing an interstate run.

We'll be heading up there in a few weeks.

New Brunswick and Nova Scotia

PEI is always free to get onto. They tax you leaving though. As people said, bridge is cheaper than ferry. If you’re taking your AS over on the ferry you end up in a stand by lane. It’s not impossible to get over while towing, they just give priority to everyone else. Do some due diligence on this option and ensure you miss their peak times.

I believe it is $47 Canadian via the bridge and $60 Canadian for the ferry? Please don’t quote me on that. It’s a rough guestimation from my lack luster memory.

Thanks to everyone for all of the input. I'm really hoping we can make it over there sometime during summer 2020. To anyone who is going soon, please post pix and your favorite activities and places to camp. Happy camping!
