Need Recommendations for RV Parks Anywhere South of Tampa, Fl

We are looking for a RV Park/resort in Florida for Feb 2019, preferably south of Tampa and/or Palm Beach on the east coast. Would be nice to be on or close to the ocean. Looking for a park with some trees and where you are not parked on top of one another. The state parks are all booked. Tried to search the forum with Florida RV Parks and it came back with 94 pages not entirely specific to RV Parks, even had one post on Yellowstone Park,. Will appreciate any recommendations and thank you for making our search a lot easier!!

Ft DeSoto - a Pinellas County Park - has a six month out reservation window so you may still be able to get a spot. Limited to 14 day stay. You might also look at Larry and Penny Thompson - a Miami city park. It is near Zoo (not ocean) but has a pool and will do monthly rentals. There are lots of private parks as you found.

For starters get the Allstays Camp & RV App. It costs $10 but is well worth it.
Try Tomaka State Park. You may not get a week or more on one site, but I just checked the 5 day period (during the week) from Feb 10-15 and 7 sites were available including site 34 which is a great site.
It helps also if you don’t need hookups. Lots of sites available in the Ocala National Forest. I can also guarantee you a site in the Everglades at the Lone Pine Key Campground (close to Homestead, Fl) if you show up on a Sunday night. It doesn’t take reservations and you can stay up to a month I believe. It is one of my favorite campgrounds. Here is a photo of Tomoka and Lone Pine Key.

Thank you for the recommendations. Ft Desota looks very nice. We may have found a private park in Port Richie so will be able to monitor the openings a Ft Desota more easily. Going to head up the east coast in March so hopefully can get into Tomoka.
