Thumbs up Need Recomendations for Wimberly TX

Hi guys...

Ugh.. 2 overseas business trips to SE Asia + Inlaws staying with us for a month (until this 30th) + putting my beloved mother's dog to sleep yesterday = Major need for a relaxing camping weekend to recharge...

Any folks have any recomendations for campsites in or near Wimberly TX? I've never been there. I have only the weekend at the end of this month so venturing out farther is not an viable solution.

Thanks -

Kevin

We live in Canyon lake - there are several RV sites here, but also just out at the parks here. Canyon Lake is about 15-20 minutes from Wimberly

Perdenales falls is also close to Wimberly and is just beautiful.

I'm not familiar with sites actually IN Wimberly.

Hope you find a relaxing spot!

BTW, here's a cool hill country site http://www.hill-country-visitor.com/...y/RV%2FCamping

Wimberley

I'm in Fredericksburg and don't have my references with me, but there are several RV parks right in town that are pretty good. One, I know has nice paved sites; I stayed there several years ago.

Don't go to the Resort Park At Woodcreek, though. It is pretty tacky. We had a rally there and it is sad.

Tough time Kevin. I hope that you find the peace that you seek.

Maybe one could say that Airstreams are "people rechargers".

Hey, perhaps your inlaws would like to try out the camper sometime

Take care,

Steve

Thanks for the input guys...

Hey sfixx,

I thought about taking the inlaws, but I only have a 19' Bambi.. my wife and I plus 2 dogs makes it cozy already... adding in-laws would be tight. Thought about renting a SOB trailer or Class A or C for a weekend and taking them, but it's just not the same when I'm not in my little "luv pod".... Guess I should have gotten a larger one, but taking my in-laws was the furthest from my mind at the time!

Next time, I'll go at least 25'....

Thanks

Kevin
