My AS needs new tires. Where should I take it?

Or is this a DIY job?

I'm thinking a Camping World. I'm picking my own tires and having them install them. I'll have to make an appointment and bring the trailer in. Not the easiest thing to do.

I ordered my tires online. I jacked up the trailer and took a wheel at a time to my buddy's garage.

I drove mine up on a small ramp, removed two wheels and took them to a tire shop, with the tries I bought online. Then did the next pair.
It cost $20 total per pair for mounting and balancing.

If you don't want to change them yourself Discount Tire has been recommended previously on this site by some folks. I have had good experience with them. Our local Costcos will not work on trailers.

Be sure to watch them the whole time to ensure that they jack up the trailer only in the designated areas (these are marked on the underside of the trailer as to where the jack can go so as not to damage the frame).

We purchased new wheels and tires from the America's tire dealer in Concord. They verified we understood what we were buying and were willing to install. However, I took the mounted tires home and installed them myself. It was easier than taking the trailer to their shop.

IMO - Given a two axle trailer, pulling up on leveling blocks to raise a tire off the ground is preferable to jacking.

I decided on the tires I wanted via tirebuy.com & tire rack. Once I had the price that included free shipping. I needed an installer so I checked around & the local Tire Kingdom matched the online price. Done deal, I bought the tires there!

Ditto. Saved us a couple hundred bucks.

Ive used discount tires twice for my airstream - most recently to mount and install michelin LTX's to 16" rims...

On both occasions they came in at the lowest price ... and they had great service both times, didn't bother me about putting LT tires on a trailer....

America's Tire aka Discount Tire has mounted tires that I purchased at their store for my Airstreams. Last time we used my drive-on Tire Minder instead of one of their floor jacks. No stress about Airstream jack points.
