Moseying Our Way South

We left NH January 3rd trying to beat the blizzard. We did not succeed. Holed up at a PA Welcome Center while the wind was blowing sideways and the temp went down to 1 degree.

Stayed with friends in VA and the temp got to 2 below. We were still winterized then.

Drove to a friends house in NC and the temps climbed to the high 50's so we dewinterized there. Since then its been below freezing. This morning in Tennessee it was 0 degrees F.

We've had a couple problems. One the fault of the dealer who winterized our 2017 27FB in NH. They left a washer out that caused the water pump to suck air. That got fixed.

The other is an intermittently misbehaving temp control. Where the furnace sometimes will not shut off because the inside temp reads 32 F all the time.

We have used a 30 lb tank of propane every other day. Except for the night I stupidly left the city water hooked up we have had no problems with anything freezing up.

We've been RV owners for 35 years and I was thinking this morning that not one of our previous SOBs would have kept us as comfortable or have held up in these conditions.

We are in similar boat. We left Vermont on January 3. Had to reroute in order to miss the snow. We have camped with nights as low as 8 degrees.
We were supposed to leave Savannah Thursday to get home to Vermont during a decent stretch of weather, but the new storm in North Carolina is going to change those plans. We added a day, so far. What a winter to try this in our new rig! Ugh?!?
