More shots from the road
Had a few minutes to go thru the photo file, so here are a few more shots from the soon to end road trip of 2007. Enjoy!
Pic #1 is a sunset over the Cascades and #2 is my camp at a friends house in Hood River. 30 amp, filtereed water and grey water drain. Who could ask for more?

A new Smart Car next to the big MoHo that tows it in a matching trailer. Note how it can be parked head-in. You can get 3 of these into a regular sized parking spot. (shot taken at the FMCA V rally in Redmond, OR)
Some local art found in Bend, OR
One of the many 'conifer canyons' found along the roads that travel thru the Oregon forests.

Fantastic shots, Lew. I didn't know those big pink birds were indigenous to Oregon too.

Nice pics Lew -
That must be a Canadian visitor? I don't think the Smart Cars are available in the US until '08. I saw plenty of them in BC, there was a dealership we drove by quite a bit in Edmonton. They are pretty neat little rigs.

There's a company in SoCal that is importing them, bringing them up to US spec and reselling them through dealers right now. They're pretty expensive novelties at the moment, but you can buy a new one right here in Tipton, Iowa at our local Ford dealer, if you can't wait for their actual domestic introduction in January.
And... Lew... GREAT SHOTS! You must be having a ball. Thanks for sharing them!

Hi Gang,
It's been a great summer.....some work/some play and camped in one of the nicest spots in the country. You can do just about whatever you want with-in an hour's drive from here. Skiing (on the glacier at Mt Hood), kayaking, sailing, hiking, biking, kayaking, water skiing (on thise non-windy days) and windsurfing in one of the premier spots in the world.
Those pesky pink birds just seem to keep following me and multiplying! Started with 2, then 3....now 4. They must be breeding at night!!!!
I have a friend in FL (not the one in the shot) with 2 of the Smart Cars that he bought from the guys in Cal. He paid BIG for them......but then he added them to his stable of 32 OTHER cars.......must be nice!
And Bob, depending on the route, the OR to FL drive will be roughly 3350 miles with a bunch of stops in between (like the ABQ Balloon Fiesta)

Question, where did you get the flag holder. I'm looking for one that could hold three flags. Thanks

You'll find the holder way over-built and way under-priced!
