Montgomery, AL campgrounds

I will be heading down to Montgomery, AL in a few weeks(Aug 24-27) for an USAF trade show. Looking for a campground in the area. It appears the family will be joining me since we will be coming off a week at the OBX, NC rally. Being the family is joining me, would like to have something that has a pool. Anyone know of a nice, clean campground close to downtown Montgomery, AL???

Any help would be GREAT!!

I have stayed at the Woods RV Park in Montgomery on a number of occasions. It's on the Circle (US 80/82) just east of I-65. It's a nice family run CG and is fairly close to downtown Montgomery. It has 5 point hook ups and is all pull-through sites. It is reasonably priced. It does not have a pool.

Capital City RV Park is nice, close to downtown and both AF bases. No pool. Its located on hwy 231 north of Montgomery.

The tuff one it seams is finding a pool. Found one "K&K" that had a pool but was filled-in, said they were more of an "overnight" campground. The old KOA is now the "Montgomery Campground" it does have a pool, when I called about info, website, etc... they did not know the website name.

I guess folks must be use to the heat down in Montgomery, up here in Virginia anything over 80 degrees everyone heads for the pool. Thought if any place would have campgrounds with pools it would have been "LA" (Lower AL).

I'll check into the ones you guys know about. Any others even a 20 min away is starting to look good.

Just HOW close do you need to be to Montgomery? Deer Run RV Park is in Troy about 40 miles from the south outskirts of the city. I think it has most everything you want. Pool, nice grounds, spa, massage, etc.

I heard a rumor once they even give Airstreams a discount, but you know how that goes.
