That is a rough, tight road. I've done it in a truck, I would NOT pull my Airstream in there.
It could be done, just not me or my trailer.

We took our Suburban over Kaiser Pass on our way to Florence lake/Jackass meadow back in around 1998. Spectacular country, but I would not ever consider taking a trailer. High, narrow road, steep drop-offs, wash-out areas. Everything I read at the time prohibited trailers. It probably hasn't changed.

You should definitely go, just leave the trailer down the mountain.

Canoeing on Florence Lake, just south of Mono Hot springs.

There are lots of places to camp in the area, you can always do a day trip to Mono if you wish. Camping places in the area include Huntington lake, Shaver Lake, out Dinkey Creek Rd from Shaver, Courtwright Reservor, etc. It's all a nice area.

Sorry. This is in the central Sierra Nevada, east of Fresno, CA.
