We're getting 12.5 to 13 mpg travelling at 55 to 60 mph. Regular unleaded gas. Both TV and AS are 5,300 pounds dry each.

I follow the don't-ask-don't-tell policy on this one. The answer would, I'm afraid, just be too depressing.

Getting about 10 mpg on a 3/4 ton GMC passenger van with 6.0 liter engine and 4.10 axle. Pulling a heavy 30' Classic slideout at 60 mph. About 13 mpg without the trailer.

2006 Tahoe 5.3 towing our safari; 6,317 miles out to Yellowstone and back using exactly 513 gallons of fuel averages 12.3 MPG. Of course going up the Big Horn I think we were getting about 3 MPG!

We're getting 12-13mpg with our F250 PSD towing the 31'. When we're on the flats along the east coast we've gotten close to 14mpg. Better than our previous diesel moho.

We get 13-15 at 65-70 depending on the wind and terrain and how much traffic I'm holding up going up the big hills. We held 70+ coming into Knoxville from the north, passed RV's and 18 wheelers just for the fun of it. I love the turbo Cummins!

Phil - I have a 2004 Avalanche 5.3L and get about 14.8 around town, about 17.5 on the interstate, about 11 when towing our 28'er. Like you, that's on these flat Florida roads. BH

On average I get 10.6 mpg. However I have gotten 11.9 and upwards of 13mpg towing. In normal driving conditions the slower you go from 70, the higher the MPG. For example, towing the 25' Safari with an 04' Sub 2500 6.0L w/ 4.10 gears, I get about 10 flat at 70. At 65, I get on average 10.5 and at 55 I get nearly 12 regularly.

Though when I fill up, it seems like I got gallons per mile rather than miles per gallon.

A bit different TV but here goes

1957 Pontiac wagon with 455, turbo 350, 3:73 rear end ratio towing mostly in the BC and WA mountains:

Solo 15 to 17 mpg depending on whether I'm in a hurry or going the speed limit

Towing the FC we get 10 mpg and sometimes 12 depending on which mountain passes we take but never more than that and sometimes if I'm a a big hurry it's a LOT less.

The few times we used our former Trail Blazer with the I-6 we seldom got better than 10 mpg towing at or below the speed limit.

Lipets, I had a GMC 3500 w/454 auto and I towbared a Jeep Grand Cherokee down to Florida from Ohio. I got 11 mpg on the trip down, towing and about 13 average on the way back to Ohio empty. One tank I hit 14.7 mpg.

My Duramax averages 18 "country" driving. I have gotten as high as 18.5 mpg towing my 16' boat and around 13-15 towing the Airstream. Best mileage solo was 21 mpg freeway.
