Question mexico ????

We've been down the Baja Sur a couple of times in the past boondocking, but now would like to travel the Pacific mainland. Would like to camp near the ocean, but in an area where I can kayak and swim, (no waves, love the water but am a chicken). Any reccomendations would be appreciated.

my recommendation

Here is my recommendation;
El Mirador RV Park in San Carlos. It is on the protected Sea of Cortez.

I found a good camping guide at Barnes & Noble called "Baja Camping" that has sites on both coasts well described. Can't find it at the moment but look in the travel section at your local B.&N. and they should be able to get it.

Anything further south?? or am I running into rougher seas? Looking for the perfection....hotter than San Carlos, as we will be down for about 5 months from mid Nov. to mid April.

I have used this one with great success over the years. It's written by people who have travelled the peninsula for a very long time.

Kino Bay RV Park. We have our two mexico trips detailed here http://arizona-airstream.com/. We stayed at El Mirador as was suggested when we were in San Carlos. It has the nicest facilities but is also the most expensive. It is just over the ridge from excellent scuba/snorkeling.

Never been farther south, good luck with your trip. We saw a big RV tour group heading further South so there must be places to stay.
