I posted a thread named "road trip" in the Classic Motorhomes Forum. I mentioned that we had to cut our wonderfull 3 week trip short due to some bad news.
My nephew Eric was critically wounded in Northern Afghanistan last Sunday.
Memorial Day used to be just another 3 day weekend to me. I knew what it was about but was usually preoccupied with Indy 500, finshing, camping... the beginning of summer.
Unilt this year. Eric is still in Landstuhl Germany with complications preventing him from being transfered state side. The family is gathered in shock waiting for any bit of information. Memorial Day has been redefined in our book.
So take a moment from the cookouts, sales, Indy 500, ect... and give thanks to the brave soldiers that have given the ultimate sacrifice so we can live with the peace, freedoms, and lifes that we have.
