Me and my Monkey

I added a luggage rack, swapped exhausts and added better shocks. Monkey is now much less camp friendly with a louder muffler but I dig the look and now people can hear me coming - the stock exhaust was almost silent. Shocks stopped me from bottoming out.

I rode out to the local biker bar and a Harley rider ride up and parked next to me, giving the Monkey a once over. He laughed, I laughed. This bike brings out the smiles!
The Eddie Bauer owners are laughing and feeling smug. Ditto for back hatch Pendletons and Tommy Bahama and 77 Panamerica owners.

Electric cycles do not stink up the trailer tho... just saying.

I do carry my Triumph in the EB, but the monkey rides in the TV. I use it as a dingy, when the truck goes for service I still have wheels. I found my range and speed using my bicycle last summer ineffective, had to rely on taxi's
I also have had bike voltage regulators fail and boil out the battery water, smells like rotten eggs.
The Pendletons and Tommies, dining table doesn't move, seating doesn't fold, and the kitchen sink intrudes.
Right now, Triumph needs charging system repair, truck needs a PPS reset, and I'm monkeying around town doing errands, waiting my turn for shop time.

So far a bike cover, Dowco guardian fits very well, baxley chock, battery tender pigtail, & third key.

Thanks for posting that pic. My wife wants a Cub for mother's day, and I told her I have to get my weights after my restoration is complete to see if it will mount on the back bumper of my Caravel.

See if you can talk your wife into waiting for the new Hunter Cub. Looks like a great bike.

I've added Olins suspension, F & R, no more worries about bottoming out, rides like a big bike now.
I changed the spirit animal from monkey to road runner.
I changed the handlebars, stock is swept back too far. Hard to hold myself forward into the wind, with my hands further back. 3" pullback vs. 6" stock, same 6" rise
+ bike cover, Dowco guardian fits very well, small rack, baxley chock, battery tender pigtail, & third key.

I went out and bought a blue one. I also have the ohlins, though waiting on the front still. A 14t front sprocket is great, I also changed our the tires for Shinko mobbers. Getting better.

Cool- thanks for the link. We were at the Honda store today, but nothing said about that. the Grom is the rage, but doesn't look vintage.

I never had an option for a blue one, I heard about availability after I bought mine.

I have toyed with the idea of a red/white/blue bike, as in trade my red tank for a blue one.

Way more groms available in more colors, it might be the premium $$ they want for a monkey slowing sales.

I was looking at Zero motorcycles but at 250-350 lbs...

77 lbs seems more manageable to take along for the two of us. And no insurance or license needed!

Just saw these but hadn’t tried one yet

This is directed toward Lafitte--What hitch carrier did you find that would support your motorcycle?
