Getting a place any where close to Albuquerque that night will be almost impossible with out reservations.
Since we will be arriving from the north, we have a reservation at the KOA/Albuquerque, North, in Bernalillo for the night of October 2nd. We would like to meet with the group at the Camping World Friday morning (Oct 3). What time is this planned for and how hard do you think it will be to make our way down there that morning?

Nashville - we spent the morning looking around the area, mainly the Camping World right next door to the KOA. Of course, we bought some more stuff for Lucy.

We spent the afternoon and evening visiting our friends here in Nashville.

Here's a couple of shots of Lucy and Daisy hanging out at the KOA. Tomorrow morning we start making our way to Wyoming.

Ken or Jerry could answer the traffic guesting better then me, but it should be a bit crazy. You might want to circle around the Fiesta from the north, just a thought.

I got an email from Ken today and CW will be the rally point. Last year we all got together in the late morning, around 10 or 11. There is really no rush to get there...

Ken is working on a newsletter for the Fiesta and should have all the details out in a few days.

Violet did get wet on our NC/TN trip in July, and a couple of times at home. She also got wet in a couple of rain storms yesterday. We really hope to get her in the water in Wyoming. Violet also serves the purpose of keeping many love bugs from hitting Lucy.

I called Enchanted Trails RV Park Tues 9/9 and got a 30A reservation for 10/2 They are on I40 next to Camping world. I plan on trying to arrive around 2PM so maybe traffic won't be too bad. I thought I was lucky to get that close on such short notice. Maybe they would have more spaces.

phone is 1-505-831-4244 or 1-800-326-6317 30A space was $28.

We got off this morning from Nashville without a hitch, and started making our way northwest.

We did make a stop at Metropolis, Illinois, for a visit with Superman.

We got to drive Lucy through downtown St. Louis in the rain during rush hour. That was fun.

We drove late and are overnighting at the Petro Truck Stop in Kingdom, Missouri. It was also fun setting up the generators in the rain. We got it done and settled into Lucy for the night.

It was still raining when we got up in Kingdom, Missouri, this morning. The generators lasted all night (8 hrs) on the single tank of gas. We had to put them up in the rain.

We drove all day in the rain over to Kansas City, then up through Iowa and into South Dakota. We have stopped at the KOA in North Sioux City.

We got up this morning to more rain in North Sioux City, SD. The rain quit while we were breaking camp. We headed on up to Sioux Falls, and took a short side trip to Luverne, Minnesota, to have lunch with a dear friend's mother. After lunch we headed west on I-90 back into South Dakota. We decided to make it a short day and stopped for the night at Mitchell. We made camp at the R&R CG right on the interstate.

After we unhooked, we drove Daisy to downtown Mitchell and visited the world Famous Corn Palace. If you've never seen it, it is quite a sight. Each year since 1892, they change the entire exterior design to a different theme with 80 kazillion ears of corn in various colors.

While we were taking some pictures of the Corn Palace, four people on horse back came meandering up the sidewalk and tied their horses up in front of a local saloon.

We headed west this morning from Mitchell along I-90. We stopped and road through a number of the small South Dakota towns along the way. Some seem to be thriving, others are not.

We decided to stop early and made camp with Lucy at the Arrow CG in Wall, South Dakota. We went by Wall Drug and walked around for a while.

We decided to take a ride into Badlands NP and catch a gorgeous sunset there.

We've decided to spend another night in Wall. We want to do some more touring in Badlands NP.

The badlands are fun aren't they? I like the campground there in the park. Looks like you are giving that D80 a work out. Nice pics

We Finally Made It!

Lucy said goodbye to the Badlands this morning. We headed west across I-90 and arrived is Sheridan in time to visit the Wyoming Game and Fish Department Office and the National Forest Service Office. We got a bunch of information on the Bighorn National Forest and Moose watching locations. We did some shopping at Wal-Mart and Home Depot, and continued on to Ranchester and set Lucy up at the Lazy R CG. We stayed here last year and really liked it. It's $23.50/night and has 5 point hook ups. Ranchester is right at the entrance to the National Forest. We will head into the Forest in the morning on the hunt for Mooses.

Here are a few more pictures from the Badlands and the CG in Wall, and a couple from the road today, including an encounter with another Airstream at a rest area.

Nice shots!!!!!

Sounds like you're having a great time. I noticed the blade(s) from a windmill in your past post. We have them traveling thru the Columbia River Gorge all the time on I-84 up to the new wind farms in Goldendale, WA and points East.

They sure are huge, aren't they...........450' towers and all!!!!

See you all in ABQ!
