I have tried posting the pictures again. I have good strong wifi and I can post pictures on AOL. I am thinking that the issue may be with the Forums software.

What a great set of photos! Thanks.
Funny, one can sense the peace and quiet way up there . . .
A spectacular day and sunset. The composition in the fourth shot is great -- that road leading up the hill -- as if inviting the viewer to hit the road again . . . to see what is over that hill . . .
Have a good weekend,
Peter

It is Canada Day here, and the campground has a party atmosphere.

Lucy is still camped in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. We headed out today to explore the far reaches of Nova Scotia. We drove the Cabot Trail to the North end of Cape Breton Island. We veered off the Trail at Cape North and took the back road through Bay St. Lawrence. We then took the final stretch of unpaved roadway to Meat Cove, Nova Scotia. Meat Cove may not actually be the end of the World, but you can see it from here.
We had a very nice seafood dinner at the only restaurant in Meat Cove with the greatest ocean view in the world. We ate at an outside table high on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
There is also a small campground in Meat Cove. This campground has what has to be one of the greatest views of any campground anywhere.
We had a great time hanging around Meat Cove for a while. We made our way back to Lucy at the campground in Cheticamp to arrive a little before dark. The campground was abuzz with Canada Day Festivities. We partook of the celebration before retiring to Lucy for the night.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Rocks jutting out of Ocean.
- Giant bulldozer working on the Cabot Trail.
- Bay St. Lawrence fishing fleet.
- Guard Goats along the dirt road to Meat Cove.
- Meat Cove from the mountain.
- Meat Cove Campground.
- Ultimate campground view.
- SuEllyn ready for dinner with an Ocean view.
- Meat Cove Campground.
- Scottish Shieling replica. Early settlers in this area built these shelters.
Again, I'm having trouble getting my pictures to load. I'll try again in the morning.

Once again, photos from another century in terms of the pace of life IMO.
"Far from the maddening crowds" is a phrase that comes to mind.
Guard goats indeed !!!
Thanks and have a great weekend!

This is Lucy's third night at the campground in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. She is getting anxious to move on, so we have decided to break camp in the morning and head out. We think that we will head over toward the bay of Fundy to take in some of the extreme tide fluctuations which are over twenty feet. Lucy will probably be a couple of days on the road getting there.
Today we took a last run out on the Cabot Trail in the National Park. We didn't see any more Mooses, and late this afternoon, the weather started to close in and we started to get some rain.
We made our way back to Cheticamp where we filled Fred with Diesel and took a last look around the town. We went out on Cheticamp Island (which isn't really an island) to see the Enragee Point Lighthouse.
We made it back to Lucy where we started breaking camp and dined on Lobster meat.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Sunlight coming through the rain clouds.
- Royal Canadian Mounted Police crest on the door of a patrol car.
- The 1893 St Peter's Church in Cheticamp.
- Unpaved road to the Lighthouse.
- Cheticamp Harbor.
- Town of Cheticamp across the bay.
- Traffic on the road to the Lighthouse.
- Approaching Enragee Point Lighthouse.
- Ocean side of Enragee Lighthouse.
- Swimming beach at Lucy's campground.

Seeing this places I have been to is making me itch to go back. Rainy weather on the coast has a special appeal to me, though having enjoyed desert air for decades now, I can only take rain for a few days. Nostalgic nevertheless.
Thanks for the ride.
I hope it gets easier to post photos soon. In western Canada (except Vancouver Is.) we always had good wifi at CG's, but doesn't look as good there.
One moose bagged.

Hi Gene. You are correct. The Internet at the campground in Cheticamp was not real great, and they made you pay extra for it. We're back in New Brunswick and the Internet here is great, and it's included. Go figure. As soon as we got here, the pictures loaded in about fifteen seconds.

Lucy broke camp this morning in Cheticamp, Nova Scotia. We headed out fairly early as we wanted to make it out of Nova Scotia today. The roads were kind of rough, but by late afternoon, we had crossed over into New Brunswick.
We continued to Moncton, New Brunswick where we got Lucy a campsite for the night. We covered about three hundred miles today. Lucy is glad to be off the road for the night.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Fred and the Girls getting packed up this morning.
- Really dark clouds coming over the mountain as we departed.
- Small lighthouse marking the channel as we left Cape Breton Island.
- Freighter in the channel.
- This poor old moho is so homely, he is kind of cute.
- Nova Scotia/New Brunswick Line.
- We came upon this little making his way down the road. Hi personalized tag indicated that he is really loved..
- He appears to be a 1954 Morris Minor.
Again tonight having problem with post pictures. Only two would post. I will try the others in the morning.

Lucy broke camp this morning in Moncton, New Brunswick. We came across the rest of New Brunswick and back into the United States at Calais, Maine. We headed south on
US 1 to Lubec, Maine. We plan to spend the next couple of days here exploring the area.
We got Lucy a really nice waterfront campsite in Lubec. We took a short ride to see West Quoddy Head Lighthouse. It is at the easternmost point in the Continental United States.
We got to see some of Lubec's 4th of July Parade. We went back to the campground for a very nice sunset and watched fireworks across the water. It was a good day to be back in the USA.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Wal-Mart in St. John, New Brunswick. Note how Supercenter is spelled.
- Approaching the United States Border in Calais, Maine.
- Waiting in line to clear U.S.Customs.
- Coming into Lubec, Maine.
- Lucy's waterfront campsite.
- 4th of July Parade in Lubec, it's just like New York City.
- The 1808 West Quoddy Head Lighthouse near Lubec.
- The lamp room atop the lighthouse.
- Old time Motor Court along US 1 in Pembroke, Maine.
- Sunset over the water from Lucy's campground.

Thanks again for the photos! Amazingly clear sunny weather, as I believe that part of Maine can be very foggy at times. Interesting that Lubec is not only the most easterly part of the US, but also the closest to Africa!
Happy Trails!

Lucy is still hunkered in at Lubec, Maine. She is camped at the easternmost campground in the Continental United States. We headed out this morning and toured Downtown Lubec. We got six shipments of Moose Tags off from the Lubec Post Office. After touring Lubec, we decided to head over to Campobello Island. Campobello Island is where Franklin Delano Roosevelt had a cottage overlooking the Bay of Fundy. It had been his parents' cottage where FDR summered as a child. We toured the cottage and continued across the island to see East Quoddy Head Lighthouse.
Campobello Island is in New Brunswick, so we had to clear Canada Customs to get to the island, and U.S. Customs to get back to Lucy in Lubec. Fog was on and off in the area all day long. Some of the over-water scenery was somewhat restricted at times. It was still a good day and we saw a lot of neat stuff.
We got back to Lucy early, and dined on Lobster Rolls made in Lucy's own kitchen. The fog has rolled back in, and we have settled into Lucy to watch a movie.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Sunset Point RV Park in Lubec, Maine. Easternmost Campground in the Continental United States.
- Lucy is dwarfed by her moho neighbors.
- Main Street, Lubec,Maine.
- Lubec Harbor Lighthouse in the dense fog.
- Colorful Lobster Buoys on a barn wall.
- 1960's Airstream resting in a yard in Lubec.
- Roosevelt Cottage on Campobello Island.
- Dining Room in the Roosevelt Cottage.
- The 1835 East Quoddy Head Lighthouse.
- Dock on Bay of Fundy at low tide showing the tide variance of over 20 feet.

Lucy broke camp in Lubec this morning. We were planning to head up to the Millinocket, Maine for some Moosing. Fred had other ideas. He was flashing a check engine code that indicates that his number 2 cylinder glow plug had shorted out. A glow plug is a cousin to a spark plug in a gasoline engine. His number 4 glow plug was just replaced in Saco, Maine two weeks ago. We contacted the Chevrolet dealer in Ellsworth, Maine. They will be able to take Fred in tomorrow morning for the repair. According, we headed to Ellsworth and got a campground here for the night.
We did some shopping in the area and settled in for the night. It is raining here now, so Lucy will get a bath.
Tonight's pictures include:
- Coming into Macias, Maine.
- Main Street, Machias, Maine.
- Wild blueberry field along US 1.
- Fishing vessels in the harbor at Milbridge, Maine.
- Business along US 1 with a really nice truck on the roof.
- Vintage motorcycle with sidecar making its way down US1.
- Lucy settled in at the campground in Ellsworth.
- Russian MIG 21 jet fighter at business on US 1 in Holden, Maine.
- !957 Studebaker Champion that has seen better days.

Brian, the furnishings and simplicity of FDR's cottage on Campobello Is. remind me of the similarity of his retreat at Warm Springs, Ga. In this time of maximum security and consumerism, it is interesting to see how much simpler things were in the past. At Warm Springs they had no more than 4 guard posts on the property if I recall correctly. That was during WW II. It would have been easy to slip past them in the forest.
Keep it coming.
