Louisville KY - where to stay?

Hello all - heading in the direction of Louisville KY -- and am looking for recommendations on good places to stay for 1-2 nites - prefer full hookups!! I found a Good Sam site - but the reviews are terrible (Louisville North Campground).

Thx for your wisdom!!

Avoid the KOA across the river in Indiana, unless you like a crowded campground right next to the interstate. There is a campground at the fairgrounds that I have heard is nice.

Check out campgroundreviews.com for some great reviews.

Have stayed at the Louisville South KOA. It's a good campground.

If you don't mind staying outside of the Louisville area, try the new campgrounds in Brandenburg KY. They are located in the town park right on the Ohio River. They opened the campground a couple weeks ago. I do know they have water and electric at each site and a dump station. I do not know the cost. Call the Town of Brandenburg to get specifics. It's close to a bridge that crosses the Ohio River into Indiana with NO toll!
