On the road now, leaving Las Vegas and heading to Los Angeles. Anyone have recommendations for camping in or near Los Angeles and down highway 5 and 1 to San Diego. Walmart?

Look up San Clemente State Beach, North Carlsbad State Park, San Elijo State Beach.

RV parks in LA are few and far between. There is a state park on the beach by the airport and one in Long Beach. I wasn't impressed by either. There are several around Disneyland but some of those left a lot to be desired. This is the nicest one I have found so far. Orangeland RV Park, RV Resort Camping, California, 92867 The people were nice and there is a nice food pavilion almost across the street with about a dozen restaurants ranging from a pizza house to sports bar to steak house.

If you don't have to be near LA keep going south down toward Dana Point and San Clemente.

Send a message via Yahoo to ccit1999
San Clemente or Carlsbad state beach, or maybe Torrey Pines
