Hi, I'm not too much help here, but when we bought our trailer in Oregon about three years ago we stayed at a privately owned camp ground in Lapine, Oregon; It was very nice. At this time I do not remember the name, but I think it was the only one in Lapine. Also we stayed in Banff and once again I don't remember exactly where [huge place] but nice also. I don't think there are any bad camp grounds in Canada.

Well your first night out, you should stay with us (~200 miles from Sacto).
If you want to go further, Rogue River State Park, between Medford and Grants Pass is very nice and has full hook-ups. Even has pull-throughs. (~300 miles from Sacto) Oregon Parks and Recreation: State Parks About Us.
Just north of Eugene (exit 199) is Premier RV Park, a very nice park with good wifi. (~470 miles from Sacto) Welcome to Premier Rv Resorts Web Site

Just outside of Banff is Kananaskis Recreation Area. There are some great camp sites there, but I'm not sure about hook ups. My last time there was with my old VW Westfalia. Regardless, the beauty of the area makes up for any ammenities that may be lacking.
Here is a link to the park camping guide:

In Redding is a Premier resort that is very nice. If you are going to hit the OR coast I recommend Harris State Park at Brookings. Really beautiful. If in central OR go to Bend and Crown Villa. It is excellent. South WA just off I-5 at Woodland is River View. Get a back in and enjoy the Columbia about 50yds. from your back door. There is not much in the Seattle/Bellevue area. If you are headed to Spokane, I would detour to Walla Walla. Nice town, great restaurants, many, many vineyards. Stay at the Four Seasons and ask for site 17. Sites 15,16 and 18 are also nice. All of these places you can find in you camprground directory. Have a great trip.

Go the coast route. So much to see and breath taking scenery.

Not to get off topic, but since you plan on going to Canada with a dog, make sure you have all his paperwork and health report to get accross the boarder.
Again, sorry to get off topic - but it would really bite to get to the boarder and have to turn around . . .
