Looking for a campground near Mesa

Hello,
My family is planning a trip to spring training at the end of March and will be seeing games in Mesa and Tempe.
Does anyone recommend a nice campground in that area? Thanks in advance.
John

The KOA at Apache Junction is close; we've stayed there a number of times.

We have also stayed at the Apache Junction KOA several times. This time of year it will be fairly full. Nice folks at the office.

There are LOTS of RV parks in the Mesa/Apache Junction area...a favorite place for winter visitors, so it's busy at the moment. Check out Woodall's or Trailer Life Directories on line for specific info for that area... There are also some public parks (Maricopa County Regional Parks, like Usery Mountain...haven't stayed there yet) and Lost Dutchman State Park just north of Apache Junction (dry camping) which is nice. Good luck!

We second the recommendation for the Lost Dutchman State Park. We have stayed there twice, once during JAnuary and once during September. Great weather and location!

Thanks for all the great information. The Lost Dutchman State Park sounds like fun, but with my wife and three kids for 4 nights... ...we'll probably stay at a place with full hook ups this time. Next time maybe. Also found out most RV parks in the area are 55+.

We've narrowed the search down to the Apache Junction KOA everyone mentioned and Eagle View RV Resort at Fort McDowell. Both are the same distance from the stadiums. Both seem family friendly.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the Eagle View RV Resort? Thanks again everyone!

Hey Everybody,

Just an update, I wanted to let you know that we ended up staying at the Eagle View Rv Resort and it was very nice. Very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It ended up being around 20 to 30 minutes from the ballparks we went to. It had everything we needed.

I would recommend it and will stay there again. Thanks to everyone for their input.
