LL Bean in Freeport, ME

Does anyone know if this store has RV parking? The Bean website says the store is in the village and that there is plenty of parking, but doesn't mention RV's.

Since it is open all night, thought I would do a little late shopping on the way to Bar Harbor and perhaps stay the rest of the night in the camper.

Any info is appreciated.

I've parked there w/ the trailer in tow...just to go shopping, though. not overnight. I doubt anyone would bother you if you did crash in your trailer overnight, though.

anyway, I don't recall if the lots were specifically designated for "RV's", but people were parking them in one of the more remote lots. Probably just because these lots weren't packed with cars.

I don't know if you've ever been there, but they have a bunch of different parking lots. The area you probably want to head for is near the factory store. there are actually designated RV spots right in front of the factory store, now that I think of it, but I think they're meant mainly for motorhomes. Anyway, follow the signs, and you'll find it. If you're looking at google maps, zoom in on the villiage of freeport, and look for school, middle, bow, depot streets. these lots are all along that neighborhood, more or less parallel to the main street where the main store is.

Thanks, Chuck. That's what I needed to know. I plan on shopping late, late, crashing in the camper and moving out early in the morning. Really want to see the store.

its great at night, because nobody is around. It can get pretty busy during the day, though.

if for some reason you can't stay in the parking lot, (local ordinance, or whatever), there are campgrounds nearby. There's probably a wally-world in Brunswick, which is just up the road.

Since the store is open all night, I going on the assumption that no one will know if I am in the store or in the camper.......

There is plenty of parking in the lot, but I know that there is a KOA fairly close. But like you say....at 2:00 in the morning you could be in the store or taking a snooze. Who is to know.
