Lift Kits for AS

I have a 2007 Safari 20', which is single axle. Can anyone suggest an appropriate lift kit. Thanks

Lift kit for 20' AS

Hi,

I have the Dexter Axle 3" lift kit mounted on my 20' 2006 AS and it is excellent and in my opinion, a necessary addition. The size kit for our axle comes with 4 spacers - for 2 axles - so I have just what you need, 1/2 of a Dexter kit at 1/2 the price. Contact me privately please.

Hi, did you do this install yourself? If so, was it difficult?

My Son did mine for me ( he is more nimble than I) in about an hour. You should plan on having to cut and splice the LP line and have those parts ready ahead of time. You will need a flaring tool and the right size flare nut. I would also highly recommend using an impact wrench. Other than having the gas line in the way it as simple as removing a few bolts, jacking up the AS to create space for spacer and bolting back on. It is well worth the time and effort.

I called Dexter, gave them my serial number, and they gave me the part number of the lift kit we needed and where to order it locally. It took 2 of us about 4 hours to install on our 25’ ‘06 Safari. It’s not difficult. Just pay attention to supporting the Airstream while your working. I’d hit the bolts with some penetrating spray a week in advance of the installation.
