Leisurely journey from Seattle to Boston.. destination options

Hello fellow Airstreamers,

We bought our first ever RV in Sep 2020, a brand new 2021 Globtrotter 23’ and have traveled leisurely from upstate NY to Florida, southern states and on to Southern California. Spent two months in California and slowly made our way along the coast of California, Oregano and Washington and were luckily spared from the heatwave affecting the Pacific Northwest.
Currently at Mt. Rainier NP and heading to Seattle next week.
On our way back to the east coast we had hoped to travel via the Canadian Rockies but seems unlikely with the travel restrictions in place.
We are retired and have no time restrictions as to how long it takes to get to the east coast. We would love to see the fall in Maine and with that in mind thinking about our route and destinations on the way. ( we have done this before but not in an RV) A general idea of traveling on I-90 East and staying 2-3 nights at various destinations is our goal.
Any ideas, suggestions routes/ destinations and names of good RV parks, County/state/ NP or private campgrounds from you all will be highly appreciated.
We also wouldn’t mind Boon docking for a few nights at great locations on the way.
Appreciate every one’s input and will keep you all posted.
Thanks

Sanjay

Not sure of your route back (thru CdA?) but if you're a bit more southerly, maybe think of Joseph/Lake Wallowa SP along the ID/OR border. A very nice exit from town is thru Halfway which winds along the Snake River/Hells Canyon. Saw lots of AS's boondocking. Eventually comes out to Baker City, Wally's home town I believe?

Otherwise. More northerly, Leavenworth the EB on Hwy 2 (think of a zillion acres of apples/fruit along the river) to Spokane/CdA. Wallace on I90 short of the ID border is a nice small town stop and a great breakfast at the Red Light Garage.

Last tip and likely too far S, but we diverted at the last minute (heading to ME from OR) is Field of Dreams. There is a great county park a few miles N of Dyersville, IA.

Happy Trails
p.s Hope you enjoyed OR. The coast is simply awesome.
