Many ways to skin a cat. Mine had this problem and the issue was that the screws that hold the hinges together were way too short. I replaced them with longer ones that were long enough to go through the hinge, added a lock nut, used some lock-tite, and lastly wrapped a zip tie around the whole thing. Cost less than a buck a hinge and no further problems after about 10,000 miles. But if it happens again I’ll either go to the piano hinges or hire an exorcist.
