Kid-friendly, coastal spot in Georgia for Christmas?

Hey there!
We just returned from our first weekend in our new Sport 16 at Disney Ft. Wilderness with two kids and the dog and it was everything I thought it would be! We live in Florida but would like to check out coastal Georgia for 3-4 nights over Christmas. Looking for a place that gets Christmas-y with decorations or near a town that is festive. Near the coast is essential.
Please let me know your suggestions and thank you for your thoughts!

It is not on the coast or even in Georgia, but I highly recommend Stephen Foster Memorial State Park near High Springs, Ga. Just north of I-10 off I-75. They have a big Christmas light display and a folk village that my kids loved. The put out a green yarn alligator and give ice cream to whoever finds it. My kids still talk about it.

Just across the Savannah River about 15 miles from Savannah is Hilton Head Island. It is a great area for kids, and they do decorate for Christmas. Savannh or Beaufort both make for interesting side trips. Shelter Cove Harbor usually has something going on for kids. Several good restaurants, and a good walk around the harbor. There is even a Disney resort there.

There are miles of beaches, and bike paths all over the island. I have had several long stays on my boat at Shelter Cove. You should find a great amount of info on the web for all the island. There is even an outlet mall at Bluffton. 3 or 4 days is too short. Our grandkids just love it.

GA Coast

I'm a GA native and kayaker.
Our first choice for family vacations is Jeykll Island. Nice campground. 20 miles of bike paths.
Hard packed sandy beaches that you can bike on.
Sea turtle rescue center.
And 300 years of resort living for the very very rich. Now open to the public.
Where the mega wealthy came for the winter.
