Jackson Center to Rochester - Route? Stop?

We have an appointment in early June at Jackson Center. When we leave we are heading for upstate New York stopping at Rochester first.


We would apprecitate route recommendations and also any tips on where to stop in between for a day or two.


Any favorite campgrounds or points of interest would be a bonus.

If you've never been, you should definitely check out Letchworth state park, SW of Rochester. There's an RV park at Phelps, right off the throughway, Cheerful Valley, pretty nice place. Plan your route through places like Ithaca beforehand if possible. I did and still got lost. Towing a trailer, always interesting, becomes downright fascinating in a city like that. You're gonna have fun.
