Interstate 76 condition question

We are heading south next week and are wondering what Interstate 76 is like from Interstate 80 to Denver. Last time on it the condition wasn't the greatest, and am wondering if it has been improved. Thank you for any information.

Has nobody been on Interstate 76 northeast of Denver in the last couple of months????

Not me… keep driving around Colorado. Seems to be too close to the middle of the US

Hi, I drive the last 12 or so miles into Denver a few timesa week, things are pretty much the standard mixedbag. There is a big construction project just before the I25 interchange, 1/2 mile long, 2 lanes both ways with lane shift but no big issue. The mile or two where 76 meets and passes over I25 is always very raggedy and is now, smoothest ride is in left lane, 55or less recommended. CDOT website is always a good source for Colorado road conditions. It's been a year or more since I've been way east on 76, seems there's always a few spots where you say "when are they going to pave this", but nothing too terrible. Also of interest, the massive I70 project in NE Denver is about wrapped with All lanes open. Also, never drive the 5or so miles of I270, always a standstill.

It has a been a year since I drove this stretch, in my mind the right lane has been bumpy for twenty years so everyone cruises in the left lane. It has seemed to me that with all of the growth and infrastructure construction in CO this bit of road is low on their priority list.

Thanks for the information. We will be heading oveer it next week on the way to Yuma. Plan on going through Denver to Las Vegas and then south to Yuma, unless there are snow issues.
