Never said to mention a lawsuit.....any cop is smart enough to figure that out without you being ignorant to point it out.
By just mentioning that you wish to protect yourself but more importantly other motorist on the road and taking the enforcement officers identification will make the point subtlety apparent.
Like I said before, be polite, calm, willing to compromise and move to another spot but be emphatic that to continue down the road exposes yourself and others to risk.
