We traveled Rt. 80 eastbound through Ill, Ind, Ohio and Pa just last week. In general not too bad. There are construction repairs through western Pa but they caused no delays eastbound. A lot of the work looked to be bridgework.

I did notice some construction signs along the way but didnt see anything being done lol. Imagine that.

And to sigman: I started at Casey, IL (mile marker 129) and went clear to Springfield, OH (mile marker 54, just east of Dayton). About 4 hours worth on 70 alone lol. On the way home, we brought I-75 south then west on 70. So about 3 1/2 hours worth lol. And honestly, the ENTIRE interstate through 70 was bad. Some spotty goodness but it never lasted

Beside the bad road conditions, some years ago a wise man told me

"With the completion of the Interstate Highway System it is now possible to drive coast to coast and not see a thing".

He makes a good point.
