I-69 Indiana and Michigan overnight stops

Hello fellow travelers,
I thought I would share a couple of overnight spots we just discovered. On the way north through Michigan on I-69, we stopped at Eaton County Fairgrounds in Charlotte, MI.

They have quite a few sites which are shaded and roomy. Easy in and out. 30 amp service with water and dump station. Camp host on sight will come collect $20 either when you arrive or in the morning if it’s late. We arrived after dark and there were about 10 campers there. Overshot the main entrance and circled around the block. When you enter the main entrance, drive straight back with the horse track on your left. Keep going and the campsites will appear. We liked it just fine.

Another fairgrounds we are in right now is in Muncie, IN. Delaware County Fairgrounds. $30 for 50amp water and sewer. We are the only ones here. Several sites are in grass and a few are next to grandstands on asphalt. We called Marsha Day the office manager at 765 288 1854 and she emailed a contract to us. We then printed it out and put cash in envelope and used the drop box since it was after hours. I don’t know how it would work if you didn’t call and make arrangements first. It’s looking good so far, but haven’t made it through the night yet, so we’ll see.

See you down the road,
Ron
