Have taken this route several times. Just for our records along Rt 12 ridge we did capture a couple pictures of the "grade" postings.
Have the same set-up as you, Tundra hooked to a 19' Flying Cloud, not a problem at all & certainly no speed records broken. The grades were driven "locked" into a selected lower gear.

Exactly right. Shift into a lower gear before hitting that slope, maintain a slow, safe speed all the way down, tap the brakes as needed without riding them, and you'll be fine. This route demands care and respect from drivers like us, but in good weather conditions it should not be a cause for fear or major concern.
