The planning ahead for stopping at a truck stop can sometimes be interrupted too. I had done that very thing on a trip back from Vermont , my planned fuel stop was in Atlanta Georgia . I had been in this area years ago and it was an very nice part of north side Atlanta. I pulled off into the area and noticed immediately that things had changed there was an ten foot tall cyclone fence built around the truck stop and a security guard at the gate???? What the heck going on here??? The security guard informed me that nothing but 18 wheelers were allowed in side the compound? I told her I had to have fuel ! ! was running on fumes at this point. She refused me entry and told me to be very careful in this part of town! She directed me to an all night convenience store about a mile away and said, "Good Luck be careful" When I arrived at the station it was brightly lit but people in the shadows all around ? When i opened my door to step out at the pump a man stepped between me and the pump and demanded that he pump my fuel I explained that I had more than 55 years at that time pumping my own fuel and that I didn't need his assistance ! All the folks in the shadows were heading our direction This is when the .357 come of the seat and was pointed in his direction ! The whole lot was immediately cleared at a fast pace. the service station clerk did not turn on the pump. very shortly after a Squad car with two officers inside pulled up and asked" was there a Problem" I said nothing I cant handle so far! The pistol I was holding was still in my hand. They both Laughed out loud and told me to follow them to another station about 3 miles away. I told them that I hoped I had enough fuel to get there! They explained that they only went into the area where I had stopped in pairs. And it had indeed changed since my last stop time there!
Many of you folks have apparently never been out of your "safe place" and have no Idea what is out side of it! I can tell you that there are people out there that will stick your cell phone up our backside when you start to dial 911 .......

it is more than usually desirable that we should make some slight provision for the Poor and destitute, who suffer greatly at the present time. Many thousands are in want of common necessaries; hundreds of thousands are in want of common comforts, sir."
"Are there no prisons?"
"Plenty of prisons..."
"And the Union workhouses." demanded Scrooge. "Are they still in operation?"
"Both very busy, sir..."
"Those who are badly off must go there."
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
"If they would rather die," said Scrooge, "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."

It looks as though we’ve effectively covered this topic. As such we are hanging the “Closed” sign on this one.

Thanks All
