Hocking Hills Ohio Reccomendations?

I've got a couple of days off, and want to do some photo'ing and hiking.

Anybody have a reccomendation for a nice campground in the Hocking Hills area.

Ideally, something a little remote with a hot tub.

I've only camped at the state park campground. It's okay but hardly remote. I look forward to hearing if you find something.

I've stayed at the Hocking HIlls State Park - nice place, elec. only hook up. Close to lots of hiking areas but be aware, some parking spots have really major drop offs from the pads. One of the best stores for supplies. Another nice spot is Scenic View Family CG. it is very hilly and once you leave, you'll be in the middle of nowhere with lots of roads to travel that lead to more hills and woods. I don't know of any campground with a hot tub for campers. They probably exist, but I don't know of them. There are other campgrounds in the area - Top of the Caves, etc... that provide you a place to park and that's about it. Good luck with your search.

When we think "Hocking Hills" and "hot tub"--as in "romantic getaway weekend", we think of Ravenwood Castle and the surrounding Medieval Village. . . but alas, they don't have a campground. Great place, though.

An UPDATE - I had mentioned Scenic View CG in an earlier post - we went past it this weekend and discovered it is now a KOA. I know that means different things to different folks - we've never stayed at a KOA for whatever the reason but I wanted to let you know the latest. Good luck with your search.

Evergreen

Dan,
The only campground that I know of that has a hot tub is Evergreen RV Resort Campground, Dundee, OH.
Evegreen RV Park - Home
I have not been there but I know Terry and Brenda(safarinight), and Jayne and Bob (b_otto)have been there. It is upscale and pricey. I think, at about $45./night. Maybe you can PM them for details. It is in Amish country....not at Hocking Hills.
