I am planning our families first trip to Disneyworld at the end of March. We are traveling from Cincinnati and I am looking to stop someplace south of Atlanta for a night of camping. We usually stop at State parks, but we are open to anything. I am looking for some recommendations. Like I said it is only one night and then off to the Disney campground. Also if you have any suggestions for Disney that would also be helpful.

I'm going too
I am leaving Feb 18 for fort wilderness with my 1976 that has not been on the road for 25 years. Interesting first trip. I to needed to stop part way down. I have reservations going and coming back at the Ga veterans memorial state park in Cordele.I have not stayed there but so far all state parks in Ga are very nice. The other advantage is it's about 5 miles off I75. Look it up under ga state parks and I will see if I can do a link. One small issue I didn't like but understand if you stay weekends there is a two night minimum. look and see what you think and if it is located for your purpose. we will be there Feb 18 to 26. When I get back I will try to E- mail you on some things about the fort and the park.
GA Veterans SP is very nice and easy to get to. The only bad part is their dump station (they have 2 together) has a cement wall that is about 6" high that you have to deal with (that's another story!). We enjoy going there. The sites are nice and you have the option of being on the water if you want.
