Just returned from my annual fall trip to the Zion area. I stay at Watchman campground (electric hookup only).

We drove through the construction area near the tunnel last week. At this time all traffic is escorted through the tunnel in a one way direction. The delays were not terrible. However the road conditions were rough, dusty, and muddy due to the watering of the road to keep down dust.

We just drove through there two weeks back (once again) - but this time had to take a detour as the 70 was closed where the 15 meets it due to a fire that the Utah National guard started.

The little detour had us go due East where we met up with a road that took us due North right into 70 where we were able to proceed East again.

Granted it was at night - what a wonderful road and so much beauty - Utah is really an amazing state as I keep driving through it at various points!

Looks like you had a great stay!!!
